Sand Dollar Inn - Pine Point

Fantastic location! It's just a stone's throw from the beach and has lovely paths for walking and biking. Only 2 miles from Old Orchard Beach and not too far from Portland. The hosts are wonderful, and the rooms are kept very clean!

The breakfast here is solid and satisfying. While it may be a bit on the expensive side, the location is excellent, offering lovely views of Pine Point. Keep in mind that it's only open for breakfast and during the summer months.

I had a wonderful experience at the inn. It's conveniently located near the ocean and is just a short distance from the town.

Everything was comfortable, cozy, and meticulously clean, and the towels were among the softest we've experienced in any accommodation. Since we visited in mid-September, we enjoyed a continental breakfast that was just what we needed: delicious hot coffee, fresh fruit, and individually wrapped pastries and muffins. The refrigerator was surprisingly large for an efficiency or kitchenette, and, unlike most, the freezer actually worked! Our room overlooked the ocean, allowing us to enjoy refreshing sea breezes and take leisurely walks along the dune path to Scarborough Beach, known for its soft white sands. As bird watchers, we appreciated the close proximity to Pine Point and Scarborough Marsh, along with nearby birding hotspots. There are plenty of dining options close to the Sand Dollar, with more available at Old Orchard Beach and in Portland. However, the inn itself was wonderfully quiet and restful. Plus, our stay was affordable and worth every penny. Be sure to check it out!

I absolutely love this place! I've been coming here for many years, and the owner is fantastic. The atmosphere is very welcoming, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing—it truly feels like home. It's just a short walk to the best beach and nearby restaurants. I can't wait to return to the Sand Dollar Inn next year!
