This place gets a lot of mixed reviews, but I decided to try it out, seeing that it's in my neck of the woods anyway. I wanted just a crabmeat roll, but they didn't offer it without fries, cole slaw, or onion rings. I chose the onion rings. So, for around $17 with tax, I got a very good crabmeat roll that was fresh and sweet. I'm not a fan of huge tempura-batter fried onion rings, but they were pretty good. I thought... There is no way to go less than zero or I would. We were starving and had not eaten since dinner the night before and still did not finish a meal and 2 clamcakes. The center of the clamcakes was raw dough/stuffing, the scallops were not fresh and were an oily mess, the frozen french fries were a joke, and the 3? Ounce piece of haddock was not fresh. We come to OOB several times a year and will never return
Seven people for dinner. Clam chowder had sand in it. Fried shrimp were very small to the point you couldn’t tell if it was shrimp or left over batter. Batter lacked flavor. Only thing I can say was the food wasn’t greasy. But there were no lines. That should of told us what to expect.
We went for lobsters and steamers. The steamers tasted like they were drowned in the water. The lobsters were better. My kids didn’t care for their chicken tenders. It’s a cute place with decent prices if you like lobster.
