I 've ordered from this restaurant many times because it 's conveniently close to where I live. The food here overall is average. Many dishes are hit and miss. Stay away from the dumpling appetizers (too doughy) and the spring rolls are always undercooked and never crispy. The Moo-Shu dishes are so-so and the beef and broccoli doesn 't have much flavor or fresh, crunchy florets. And forget about asking for anything hot spicy because they will ignore your request. However, the portions are a good size, prices are reasonable, and the parking is easy.

What kind of Chinese joint doesn’t deliver? Especially in an un-walkable/zero public transportation town like Montville. I was flabbergasted when I called a few days ago and wanted a delivery and was told that they don’t. No. 1 Wok takes a DUMP on this place. If the owners see this review, start delivering… it’s COMMON SENSE.

We tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and it did not disappoint! We ordered beef and broccoli, General Tso's chicken, pork lo mein, and wonton soup. The food was freshly prepared and packed with flavor. The lo mein was particularly tasty, extremely garlicky. While it's not gourmet dining, it was one of the best Chinese takeout experiences I've had. I would definitely order from here again. By the way, the restaurant was very clean, and the staff was really friendly. Plus, you can order online, which is a big plus for me!

It was my first and last visit to this restaurant. We ordered two different combo platters, but both were smothered in what tasted like BBQ sauce. It was not what we had anticipated, and we ended up tossing them after managing only a few bites.
