The Hook Catfish - Pine Bluff

This restaurant has excellent food, friendly staff, just a great restaurant. If you ever have the pleasure of eating at The Hook Catfish Restaurant, I am sure you enjoy your experience as I did!!

The restaurant was clean and spacious. First, my food had hair in it, but the waitress found the problem with fresh food. The fish and Jack Daniel's chicken were great.

Great tasting catfish... Hush puppies are also delicious. I didn't have the burgers, but I hear they're very good.

Nice clean restaurant. Server was very young and very friendly. She must have been well trained. She did a great job. The catfish was very good. The fries and hushpuppies were less than fresh. The coleslaw was average. This would be a good restaurant with better attention to detail. The service was good, the catfish was good (I'm from Mississippi we have the world's best catfish). If the hushpuppies and fries were given the same attention this would have been a 5 star review. Unfortunately the hushpuppies and fries sucked.

We walked 3/4 of a mile from the big red. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean except a sticky residue on the floor. The fish was bland and tasteless, leaving an oily residue in your mouth. (I️ doubt the fish was cooked in peanut oil). The French fries has a chili seasoning on them if you like that sort of thing, personally I️ would have preferred that left off. The Cole slaw had a good flavor. The hush puppies were extremely dry. The waitress kept the tea glass full. Not likely to revisit, if fish is your main menu item, it should be “off the hook”.
