The Hook - Pine Bluff
The Hook
Description
A complete menu of The Hook from Pine Bluff featuring all 3 meals and drinks can be found here on the menu.
The Hook delivers a clean, modern, family-friendly dining experience with standout catfish and dishes like Jack Daniel’s chicken, complemented by generous tea refills and welcoming staff. Guests praise the bright, spacious decor and accommodating atmosphere for celebrations. However, quality control and service are uneven — order mistakes, inconsistent attentiveness, occasional bland or oily fish, and dry fries or hushpuppies have been reported, along with intermittent restroom supply issues. With sharper attention to detail this neighborhood spot could be exceptional.

I visit this restaurant at least once a week. I love the atmosphere, the modern decor, the cleanliness, and the food. The owners made my family and me feel welcome when we celebrated my mother's 80th birthday on February 24, 2018. She's quite particular about her meals, especially when it comes to fish, and we enjoy having it here every week.
This restaurant offers outstanding food and friendly staff—a truly wonderful dining experience. If you have the chance to dine at The Hook Catfish Restaurant, I’m confident you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!
Great tasting catfish... Hush puppies are also delicious. I didn't have the burgers, but I hear they're very good.
Great food, but we had a terrible waitress. No greeting, no smile, no eye contact, had to beg or ask the cashier for refills and to go boxes. We were nice to give a $3.00 tip on a $60.00+ check, she deserved $0! I will be back for the food, but will request someone else to serve us.
We walked 3/4 of a mile from the big red. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean except a sticky residue on the floor. The fish was bland and tasteless, leaving an oily residue in your mouth. (I️ doubt the fish was cooked in peanut oil). The French fries has a chili seasoning on them if you like that sort of thing, personally I️ would have preferred that left off. The Cole slaw had a good flavor. The hush puppies were extremely dry. The waitress kept the tea glass full. Not likely to revisit, if fish is your main menu item, it should be “off the hook”.
