Those who eat their food for the first time, will feel that it is not... read more Review about mess: (not the cafeteria) Depending on who you are, this review will differ. Those who eat their food for the first time, will feel that it is not so bad. It's good compared to other messes of hostels. But if you are a hostelite, who has no option but to eat this food everyday, you will understand and agree with my review. During the initial months of an academic year, they serve their best. Then, the quality and taste starts to degrade so much that you will be left with 2 options: order from outside or stay hungry. People in the hostel order from outside on a daily basis just because they don't get hunger satisfying food here after a point. Vegetarian options: Repeated menu in the mess, taste is either too salty or too spicy or too sweet. If it's neither of the above, then it's definitely TOO BLAND. One cannot survive on mess food. One HAS to order from outside if they want to satisfy their hunger. I appreciate they hardwork the staff puts in. But their hardwork would be more effective of the taste of the food improves. Otherwise they are just forcing students to spend more money after junk and outside food. Disappointed that even after repeated feedbacks and requests to serve good food which is atleast EATABLE, this mess has continued serving what they were serving for years.
