This is a simple place that reminds me of the good old days. Staff and fellow diners were friendly and we felt welcome. Also, they were able to accommodate a special dietary need with no trouble.

Come enjoy a simple diner style meal with the locals of the area. The atmosphere and experience of eating here is like no other place in this area of North Carolina. The food is very tasty and fresh off the grill. Please dont let the looks of this place deter you from trying this place out. Its awesome!

Before we came to visit, I did a lit... read more We came to visit Pilot mountain and to see the fall leaves, decided to go to the antique stores in the downtown area after. Before we came to visit, I did a little research for restaurants to go to incase we got hungry and this came up. I LOVE a mom and pop owned place, and this is it! I didn't look at pictures when I was doing my research, and we quickly found out why it was named Squeeze box. This restaurant is TINY! It has a counter with maybe 10-15 stools, and just enough room to walk by to get to your seat, or leave. We were welcomely greeted when we walked in, and we took two open stools. You can tell it is a family owned establishment and a local staple. A woman brought us over two menus, she was super kind and friendly. We split a double cheeseburger. It was cooked to perfection, quickly, and they also brought us any toppings we wanted. It was simple and delicious! Is this a fine dining establishment? no. Is this an adorable, tiny delicious place to get a burger? YES! If we are ever back in Pilot Mountain, we will be back to Squeeze Box!
