First time visiting was unsure of what to order and a very friendly customer recommended the ribs and fries. A very good call the ribs were delicious the fries was good also, we tried the beans and they were a definite no go for us. The beans tasted like they were straight out the can with some bell peppers and smoked pork put in them not the best I had and definitely not the worse. The BBQ sauces were very good I lo... The BBQ sauces were excellent, especially the hot BBQ sauce. It had a nice kick to it without being overwhelming, which paired perfectly with the ribs. Our waitress was also very friendly and sweet. Overall, I would definitely give this place another try the next time I'm in town!
This place is great for Tennessee BBQ, but if you're looking for Texas BBQ, you might be let down. I enjoyed the food, and they offer a buffet dinner on Fridays at 5 PM. I recommend it if you're a local!
I visited the restaurant on a Friday evening after seeing their advertisement for a Friday Night special: Prime Rib, Catfish, and Peel Shrimp for $19.99, available from 5 to 8 PM. We arrived at 6:20 PM, but they were out of Prime Rib and Peel Shrimp, which were featured in the ad. Despite this, they still charged us $19.99 and instead served us Meatloaf and popcorn shrimp, which resembled their lunch buffet priced at $11.99. We had driven an hour with ten adults, and when we inquired about the situation, the staff was very rude and insisted on charging us the full price despite the substitutions. It was quite disappointing!
Got a pound of pulled pork. I'm a carnivore and (seriously) can't eat plants. The meat was largely unseasoned which was perfect for me. Can't speak to anything else here--I'm pleased with my dinner nonetheless.
While looking for bargains on the Hwy 127 Yard Sale, we started feeling hungry. To find a place to eat nearby, I searched on Google and found Morgan Brother's BBQ in Pikeville, just a quarter mile away. We prefer local dining spots rather than chain restaurants, and this place was exactly what we were looking for. It had table service, and we were seated immediately. They had a small but decent selection of bottled and canned beers, which were served icy cold. Bob ordered a pulled smoked chicken salad, and I ordered a pulled smoked pork plate with coleslaw. The pulled pork was juicy and smoky flavor that went perfectly with the BBQ sauce. The coleslaw had the right amount of mayonnaise to give it taste without overpowering the cabbage. Bob commented that his chicken was flavorful and his salad was fresh. Since we travel through this area occasionally and there are few places to eat, we will remember this place and return.
