I love going to this place. My friend recommended it 2 months back. And i have been here 5-6 times already. Truly authentic Indian food ever. Butter chicken, Biryani, Masala okra, Navrattan Korma... everything is just awesome. Friendly new owner couple and delicious food they serve. Can't have enough of this place. Good luck.. (BE WARNED)Been going to Chef Akbar for years!I loved it!, the food was amazing, so much so that I would commute over 45 min's from Laval to Take-out at this specific restaurant at least once every other month.Unfortunately, good things never last...Today, I ordered take out like I normally do, but was shocked to find out despite the name being the same, It has a new owner.Even worse, the food changed... DRASTICALLY!!!The food went from one of the best, to a below average ****, I couldn't even finish it!I'm so sad!Goodbye Chef Akbar, This restaurant is a shell of its former self.

If you want delicious Indian food in an intimate setting this place is for you. Smiling service, byob, food and service full of love, and a reasonable price tag. The perfect blend of spices and combinations as well as eating with copper cutlery. Sometimes we all need a break from the "fancy" restos to return to pure goodness and quality cuisine with personal service.See you soon Chef Akbar ❤️
I went there with my family and a friend and his family. It is a bring your own wine restaurant which helps make your experience an affordable one. Although the dining area is very small and a bit dated, the personal touch of having the chef and owner serve you or his wife or even his daughter, makes it a very nice experience. I do not often eat Indian food but this was truly very good. I think that Indians and people from the UK who know good indian food would agree. it is worth the try. Note that it is located in a strip mall so keep your eyes open for it.
Excellent South Indian Food. Chef Akbar is located in an obscure strip mall on Pierrefonds Blvd. It is well worth a visit if you like Indian food. It is home cooked style, and served with a smile in this very small family run restaurant. A great place for take out too.
