Yardies - Pickering

Great tasting food!Anytime I'm in the Pickering/Ajax area I have to stop and get food here.Consistently great flavours and friendly service!Seating area is avaliable but not many seats. I usually order for takeout.

It’s my go to spot in Pickering, it’s close to my home. The last thing I ordered was the jerk chicken, rice and peas with oxtail gravy with a side of coleslaw. It was all very delicious! I will say that the rice and peas were a tad bit spicy, as was the coleslaw. I love spice but it has to make sense! I would most definitely go there and order it again. We also order the black cake for Christmas and it is really good, moist and delicious. It doesn’t last in our home very long!

Have been to both locations, last time I went it was the Brock st location and I ordered a Large Curry chicken. Polite and friendly staff, food was served quick, fresh and hot . All was good except the plantin, it was very dry for some reason. That minor issue would not prevent me from returning .

I moved to Ajax about 6 months ago and tried a few West Indian places, only to be disappointed. So very happy to have discovered this place today. The food was great and the service was nice. I ordered oxtail with rice and peas it was absolutely delicious. I would def recommend this place and will most def be going back to try other items. Jerk chicken is next!

I think durham is hurt for good j chicken and Yardies seems to have some good food. Although a little pricey for a j chicken meal I feel like in a pinch for j chicken it’s a not bad choice. 4/5
