Spacious restaurant with a broad menu of Vietnamese cuisine. This was our first visit and we tried a number of dishes including the house special pho, a rice and meat dish and a vermicelli bowl. Each of these entrees were fresh and great tasting. We also tried the fried tofu and Thai spring rolls. Our kids enjoyed both of these, though we substituted the peanut sauce for fish sauce due to allergies. The servers were... View all feedback.
What Lance S doesn't like about Pho Saigon:
not worth my money. I had gotten the house special taste wise was okay. Halfway during my meal I found a piece of hair in the tendon. They replaced my meal (which I appreciate), but I couldn’t finish it since I was full from the original bowl I wanted to bring home the left overs. I go up and pay but come back to my table with the food that I paid for thrown out. That’s what upset me the most. What a waste of food an... View all feedback.
The phở was missing its characteristic aroma and flavor. The Bún Bò Huế tasted more like Bún Riêu broth. However, the service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I would consider returning if the dishes were more authentic.
The restaurant is spacious and offers a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes. During our first visit, we sampled several items, including the house special pho, a rice and meat dish, and a vermicelli bowl. Each entree was fresh and delicious. We also ordered the fried tofu and Thai spring rolls, which our kids loved, although we had to replace the peanut sauce with fish sauce due to allergies. The staff was friendly, and the food was served in a timely manner. We will definitely return!
I don't think this place is worth the money. I ordered the house special, and it was just alright. Unfortunately, halfway through my meal, I found a strand of hair in the tendon. They kindly replaced my meal, which I appreciate, but I was too full from the first bowl to finish the new one. I went up to pay and was disappointed to find my leftovers thrown away when I returned to the table. That really upset me—it felt like such a waste of food, and it makes me question why I spent my money here.
The staff is extremely friendly, and the food is delightful. This is unquestionably one of the top spots for Pho in Pickering.
I highly discourage anyone from visiting this restaurant. Last month, I had a very frustrating experience with a rude waitress that left me feeling quite upset. I wasn't feeling well and decided to eat there, but she completely messed up my order. When I politely asked her to fix it, she outright refused. I then ordered something else, but after waiting about 45 minutes without any updates, I asked about my food only to be told that it wasn’t ready. In the end, I paid my bill, but my food never arrived. I genuinely hope no one else has to go through such an experience. The service is terrible, so if you do choose to go, make sure you're not hungry. To make matters worse, they claim to support small businesses, but with service like this, it's hard to understand why they deserve it.
