Namak Handi - Pickering

Additionally, the cutlery and plates were a bit dirty, and we had to ask for them to be cleaned. The food itself tasted good, but it wasn't anything particularly special. We ordered Namak Handi, Chicken Malai Boti, Lamb Biryani, and naan. In my opinion, the portion sizes were also a bit small. The Lamb Biryani was particularly disappointing; we paid $15 for it, but it only came with four bites, two of which were mostly bones. Furthermore, the prices on the menu for the items we ordered were significantly lower than what we were charged. I'm not sure why that was the case, but we didn't inquire about it. Based on the seating, cleanliness, prices, and portion sizes, we probably won't be returning. There are much better South Asian restaurants out there than this one.

The food quality at this restaurant is truly excellent. We tried the butter chicken, which is among the best in the Greater Toronto Area, as well as the goat karai and chicken karai—far superior to some well-known establishments. The garlic naan and butter naan were cooked to perfection. The server who took our order suggested that we wouldn’t have enough, so we increased our order from 1/2 kg to 1 kg. In the end, we realized we had ordered more than we actually needed. There was only one waitress attending to the dining area, and her service was not the best, which is why I’m giving it four stars instead of five. However, the food quality remains outstanding. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

I ordered the chicken biryani, but I wasn't very pleased with it. There was too much cinnamon and not enough chicken. However, the portion size was quite generous. I would recommend focusing more on the amount of chicken and the overall flavor rather than just the size.

We tried this place for a casual evening dinner and ordered a BBQ plate and their signature court lamb namak handi. I absolutely loved the namak handi, but there was nothing special about the BBQ plate. I had better BBQ plates, so nothing special. but try their namak handi. service was ok and space offers in business dinning but has just a few tables. please like my review if you find it helpful.

I've ordered Namak Handi on numerous occasions for my family and every single time they do not disappoint. I had a small dinner party yesterday not only was the owner accommodating he went above and beyond for my order. The food was delicious, flavourful and fresh, the portions were very generous and overall my experience was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
