I discovered Laune on OpenTable when my other plans fell through. I came here with my mom and a friend for a Mother’s Day brunch, and we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was so cozy, and the food portions were quite generous. I would definitely return because I’m all about supporting local businesses and trying new cuisines. I hope to come back soon to sample some seafood dishes! View all feedback.

The wine selection was quite limited, and the menu was basic for a strip mall restaurant. I’m not sure how it received such a high rating. We ended up having to leave and find another place to eat. View all feedback.
Good portions for the price. everything was made fresh to order. special instructions were followed in the OpenTable reservation. beautiful and fast service. I understand that the restaurant will soon get its liqueur license, which will be a nice step forward to a fine edible feeling. ambiente is a beautiful/functional feeling inside. the restaurant is located on a car plaza, but once in them the feeling, they are in a restaurant and not an almost food diner. there are dinner specialties to mai (buy 1 get 1) with one entry. menu selection is a good spread, but not excessively far. they see that they focus on what they are good and adhere to. will definitely be back here for not only brunch, but for dinner and dessert. bring a healthy appetit.

I highly recommend the bruschetta topped with cheese; the tomatoes are perfectly sized and marinated with onions, a touch of garlic, and parsley, all served with a delicious broth for dipping. The soup of the day was consistently good, homemade, and never too salty. The dinner crepes Parisiennes are a must-try! They come filled with ham, goat cheese, spinach, and an egg, accompanied by homemade fries that are thinly sliced and have a perfect crunch. The meal is complemented by a fresh salad and a fruit medley of strawberries and grapes in a light sweet sauce that pairs wonderfully with the cheese and creamy flavors. I also had the vegetarian crepe, which was fantastic and loaded with spinach, goat cheese, avocado, and tomatoes, served with the same delightful sides. My favorite dish on the menu has to be the breaded chicken cutlet with mint sauce. It was the most tender chicken I’ve ever had, cut easily with a fork. The breading was crispy and light, perfectly paired with the same roasted potatoes and a sweet bean dish wrapped in bacon—absolutely amazing! I typically don't associate steak with French cuisine beyond the usual minute steak and fries, but this place offers a great sirloin steak, which can be prepared with either bacon and goat cheese or a garlic portobello mushroom sauce. Make sure to save room for dessert! They offer more crepes with a variety of ice creams and fillings, including chocolate and caramel, along with toppings like bananas, strawberries, and maple syrup. I’m so happy we finally have a fantastic restaurant in Pickering!
