When I first moved to Pickering, I tried various fish and chip places in the area, and without a doubt, Jasper's stands out as the best. The fish is lightly battered and has an incredibly crispy texture. I found the portion sizes more than generous and reasonably priced (I'm not sure why anyone would expect enough food for two people for just $10). The chips are delicious—while they may not be as crispy as one might wish, they perfectly complement the fish and are fantastic with a generous splash of malt vinegar. The only letdown was the coleslaw, which I found unappetizing. However, I believe fish and chip restaurants should prioritize the fish, and Jasper's absolutely excels in that regard. It’s my top choice in the area!

The portions are generous, and the fries are fantastic too. I've created countless wonderful memories here! I highly recommend it!
