Jasper Fish & Chips - Pickering

This was first time and unfortunately my last. I usually eat fish and chips very sporadically so when I do, I want the best. I found the halibut batter was very greasy. I literally had to soak up the grease before I could way it.

I'm fussy about fish and chips..had lots of bad dinners, but at Jaspers I found my perfect fish and chips. Add a side of bread and butter

Jasper's food and service can be relied on. It is consistently good.The fish is always done to perfection. The chips are never greasy. The mushy peas are what you would expect. The coleslaw has a bit of a tang to the dressing. The prices are what you would expect to pay these days for this meal. It would be nice if they included dessert options but they do not.

We moved from Pickering to the West Coast and you would think that you could find great fish and chips out there but think again because it just isn't happening. We always end up saying "Not as good as Jaspers." Jenny and family- Thank-you for so many years of great food, great service and always remembering the the malt vinegar. Hope to see you again soon and bring a Vancouver Island Tea Towel for your collection!

Very tasty meal, fast service, would recommend it to everyone,,especially the mushy peas the teatowels are quiet a novelty
