Reviews summary

Taco Guild offers a unique dining experience in a converted church, complete with stained glass and a bar housed in the old altar. The varied menu includes plant-based options like sweet potato and pibil jackfruit tacos. Margaritas are a hit, though some find the food lacking in flavor. With high-quality tequilas and stellar service, Taco Guild is a popular choice for a night out. The historical church setting adds to the ambiance, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and visitors. Overall, a great place to enjoy excellent food and drinks in a unique setting.

Beware of the scam CC payment machine they use at your table. If you offer a 20% tip they add in the tax first then calculate tip. You are paying way more than the 20% on food. I called they refused to offer a refund I had to cancel the tip part of the payment through my CC. Maybe not illegal but definitely unethical. Talk about an experience. Firstly to use an old church and make it ta Taco restaurant gives such a nice vibe. As a woodworker I appreciate the woodworking inside. The decorations are tasteful and still tie into the vibe of the church and culture. TheTacos were great. Guacamole and 4 options of sauces. It's definitely some place I want to come back to. We did have a largegroup for a work event and it went very smoothly. Staff was amazing and the south end of the church was able to accommodate allof us.

The tacos were great, i really enjoyed each one I had but some of the salsas that came with the chips were amazing! I couldn 't stop eating the chips because the salsas were so good. The tacos are more on the gourmet side than actually street style, that 'snot a bad thing but there is a difference between the two so I 'm just pointing that out. The beans were the only thing that waskinda meh, different style that I 'm used to. Staff was super helpful with menu and great service. Great place for a "fancier "taco if that 's what you 're in mood for and the prices reflect that. Will come back.

Excellent location, a church converted into a taqueria! They have over 200 tequila to choose from and a huge variety of tacos and food. Try the street corn it was delicious! The staff were very busy, but despite the business, the food came out hot andquick, the drinks were refilled regularly, and the price was very honest. Very clean restrooms. Definitely worth giving them atry, and such a unique location.

Very interesting place. Food was good but I wish they had a beef choice for tacos that wasn't shredded beef. The only real problem we had was our waiter, I think his name was Frank, asked if we wanted more chips then never brought them to us. I'm surewe will be back the next time we are on that side of town. We were there on Saturday and it wasn't overly busy.

Fantastic atmosphere and our server Christian was the best. You have to try the strawberry hot sauce wings and of course the tacos ???? were fresh and tasted great. Had a nice margarita too. My only concern was our table was wobbly. Other than that youhave to try this fine establishment!

Taco Guild offers two clearly marked plant-based taco options for dinner. First, the sweet potato taco is a must-try—lightly charred sweet potato with red curry served on a bed of chimichurri, topped with peanuts and microgreens. The combination of flavors and textures is absolutely outstanding. Second, the pibil jackfruit taco features the earthy roast of jackfruit paired with the heat of jalapeño, balanced perfectly by tangy pickled onions and a hint of sweetness. If you order three tacos, you get a free side. I recommend starting with the sweet potato, then moving on to the jackfruit, and finishing with the sweet potato again, accompanied by borracho beans (ask for them without cotija on the side).

I probably wouldn’t come here alone, but it’s decent if you’re with a group. They have a few vegetarian taco options. I can’t really speak to the flavors since they brought me the wrong order and I ended up with several of the same kind, which I found a bit too sweet. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but it was an acceptable experience.

The ambiance at Taco Guild is definitely more memorable than the menu. While the food wasn’t bad, it didn’t inspire me to return anytime soon.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. While it is vegetarian-friendly, the beans and rice were only average.

I met a half dozen of my colleagues for lunch at the Taco Guild. The food was delicious as always. The ingredients are fresh, the menu is simple, and I would describe this as one of the more authentic taco spots in town. Our service was excellent as well. We are becoming regulars around here.

Food was amazing as always, service was okay. We were sat outside, even thought there were several tables available inside. We requested to sit inside but they said they were reserved already. Fine, we sat outside and not even an hour later it started raining. We asked our server multiple times if we could move inside because we were getting rained on, and he actually laughed and said “tables are filling up” even though I peeked inside and there were several tables available. I could count at least 10! So we asked for the check and left. I have worked in the industry for 10 years and never have we made guests sit outside in the rain, we find and make space! We were pretty disappointed because taco guild is our regular and favorite taco spot.

The foods and drinks are always good!! Management truly did listen and this time it was a pleasant temp inside! One of our favorite places to go when we come down. The tacos and street corn are the best! I also really appreciate that you can lettuce wrap a taco…but always get one with the homemade corn tortillas…you have to!!

The food is always fabulous, the service was great, but they had live music that was too loud. The singer was actually quite good, but unfortunately too oud for the size of the venue. We had to literally yell just to have any sort of conversation

I ordered 3 different Tacos ?, they are like $8 each, lamb taste was really strong even for me who loves lamb and salty, carnitas was salty and dry, Al pastor was okay, but can’t taste any pineapple. All of them taste the same to me and salty, I had to put guacamole on it to tone it down. Salsa for the chips were the best. Waiter was super nice, building is a historic church.

Go during happy hour to save your wallet. The food was great and the margaritas were on point. It is a bit pricey though.

Very cool atmosphere! I have a gluten allergy and they have several options on the menu and I had no reaction or cross contamination issues. Definitely will be adding Taco Guild to my go to restaurants!

I wouldn't choose to go here, but if you're with a group, it's possible. You have a few types of Veg Tacos. I could tell you how they were all except they didn't bring me what I ordered and I got a bunch of the same kind I thought too sweet. Wouldn't eat here in a targeted way, but it was good.

Two plant-based taco options for dinner, clearly marked. 1. Sweet potato (order this!: slightly carved with red curry on a bed of Chimichurri with peanuts and microgreens.... Flavor and texture in your mouth for Dayzzz. 2. Pibil jackfruit: the earthy roast of jackfruit with the heat of the jalapeño cut by the zanginess of the picked onion with just a touch of sweet...uff! Order three Tacos and get a page free. Start with the sweet potato, complete the Jackfruit, then with the sweet potato again with Borracho beans (w/o the Cotija on the side. What a great place! Love the ambience and the fact the building is an old church, stained glass windows and all! Full bar. Chips and salsa were very good. Lots of tacos to choose from. I chose the Chicken Tinga, the El Pastor and a taco with roasted cauliflower/cabbage (don't remember the name). All were delicious. Only complaint was the corn shell fell apart as soon as I picked it up so had to eat it with a fork. ? My friend ordered the charred romaine salad which she absolutely loved. I will definitely come back!?

My friends and I visited this cool restaurant based on a tip from a local who one of our friends chatted up doing personal business by phone. Great tip! I would start out saying that this rating is actually 4.5 stars. Other than our server who was slow, not terribly attentive and then misunderstood us, this restaurant is fantastic. Great tequila collection with great margaritas and other tequila cocktails. Food was also amazing with handmade corn tortillas that are fresh, great salsas and great taco fillings. The tortilla chips were of course fantastic as well. We ate far too many due to our slow service. Definitely recommend and hope that they train up all of their servers.

The tacos were great, I really enjoyed everyone I had, but some of the salsas that came with the chips were amazing! I couldn't stop eating the chips because the Salsas were so good. The tacos are more on the gourmet side than actually street style that's not a bad thing, but there's a difference between the two, so I just point out that out. The beans were the only thing that was somehow meh, different style I had earlier. The staff was super helpful with menu and great service. Great place for a fancier taco when the 's what you're in mood for and the prices reflect that. Come back.
