The Champagne Doughnut features... read more The Coffee Cake Doughnut is filled with coffee custard, dipped in vanilla bean icing, and topped with cinnamon walnut streusel. The Champagne Doughnut features champagne custard, topped with champagne frosting and a fresh strawberry. Although I'm not usually a fan of hot dogs or food trucks, it always seemed strange to me that I visited Shortleash Hot Dogs during a 15-month stay in Phoenix. However, I was fairly impressed at the time. Now, on returning to the city, the brand has expanded significantly, with several trucks and a new addition that suits my tastes much better than hot dogs: delicious fried dough.

OMG, the flavors and drinks are spot on, just like every item on their menu. I wish I had more time to stay, but I grabbed a donut and a latte to take away. The orange-glazed donut topped with pistachios was fantastic. I paired it with an eggnog latte made using eggnog from the local Danzeisen Dairy, which I really enjoyed.
