Some found the food to be bland and overcooked, while others raved about the atmosphere and unique menu offerings. Complaints included slow service, long wait times, and issues with reservations. Despite these setbacks, many diners enjoyed the creative dishes and friendly staff. Overall, it seems that Rokerij provides a unique dining experience that may be hit or miss depending on the visit.
Came here for Sunday brunch the other week. I had high hopes after hearing recommendations from friends, reviews, and the menu looked excellent. Unfortunately I cannot agree. The Good: I ordered a **** Mary, which I enjoyed, and our server was greatand attentive. The Bad: The **** Mary was on the spicier side, so I opted for a more mild breakfast, and got the eggsbreakfast . I ordered the eggs over medium, schreiner 's sausage, English muffin, and hash-browns. EVERYTHING was over cooked. The eggs were over hard, if not completely over-done (not a runny yolk in sight). The sausage was charred/burnt on the outsideand tough/dried out on the inside (a real shame given this is such a nice product when prepared well), and the English muffinwas somehow both burnt and soggy at the same time. I didn 't mind the hash-browns being over-done since I tend to like them onthe crispier side. The Ugly: The food was bland and unseasoned. The hash-browns were especially bad being just plain potato. Iasked for ketchup to go with them, and I was presented with what appeared to be house-made ketchup. Even that I felt like I wasjust eating tomato paste. For the prices this restaurant is charging you 'd think they would know how to use salt!
Excellent Taos Tenderloin medium rare. The GCP didn't have a lot of flavor but the squash definitely was yummy. Odd presentation but fantastic flavor. Would definitely order with a different side. The Chimayo Chicken was dry and lacked flavor. It did have generous side options. The pan seared salmon melts in your mouth yum. Was pricey. Would come back for theTenderloin/salmon. Parking was horrible forced valet with no other option. They say it's complementary but it really isn'tsince you tip.
Dont want to tell you how incredible the food and atmosphere were cause I don't want everyone to crowd this place. Its crazy amazing! That's the sea bass in an extraordinary sweet chili/lime crusted sauce.
Was in a group in the private room last night wait staff was amazing! Appetizers were great fish special/entree (trio) was meh small overcooked pieces other folks w steaks other entrees looked amazing everyone loved it — nice evening great atmosphere adjoining outside bar was beautiful! However not a place I would make a point to return to.
All around great experience. Was hoping to come for happy hour, but missed the window, but still came for drinks and dinner. Its a little pricey, but the value is there so I don't mind. Quality of ingredients, preparation and presentation were all verysolid. We had three appetizers and drinks. WE picked to of the most expensive apps, but they were worth it. The steak tartare came as all separate components you mix yourself. Very interesting presentation. I made the assumption that it should all bemixed together, which was a mistake for me. I assumed they knew the measures for proper tartare, in the future I will cut backon the parts, the meat was overwhelmed. All in all still good. The bacon wrapped shrimp was fantastic, but then again how canyou go wrong? WE also had the onion rings which were very crispy, perfectly breaded and good sized. The sauces with the shrimpand the rings were stellar. I wanted to try so many more items on the menu, so will have to return,
