What Aaron Marks dislikes about Progress:
I know this will mostly fall on deaf ears but this place was so much better as the Montecito Bottle Shop instead of serving as the Restaurant Progress wine storage. Prices have gone up drastically (many were under $30) and selection has changed to cater to upscale clientele of the restaurant. It was fun to take a chance on a bottle that you’ve never heard of, but not now that they are mostly all in the $45-$150 range... View all feedback.

What an incredible little gem! I absolutely adored the atmosphere, the setting, and the food. Our server, Zack, was incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about his work. The food was delicious. There's a charming little patio in the back with misters to keep things cool, and the restaurant is conveniently connected to a wine shop next door. They offer plenty of gluten-free options and are more than willing to modify dishes to accommodate gluten sensitivities.
Just had an incredible dining experience last night. Wow! This little gem is amazing. I had the Chef's tasting menu which was a coursed dinner. Chef/owner TJ Culp decided for me so I didn't know what was coming. But what did was epic. He's a great guy with great culinary skills. Service from the charming staff was great too. Everything was unique, first rate and delicious. It's high end for sure but without any pretension. The squid ink linguini and the crispy Brussels sprouts were perfection. Easily one of the best dinners I've ever had. Please check it out and support local culinary heaven.
Cool, urban atmosphere with excellent food. The hand crafted cocktails at the bar are as unique as they are delicious. The menu is small, but has amazingly creative flavor combinations that surprise and delight. The menu also changes every month, so I know I'll definitely be there at least once a month to see what new must try dishes the chefs have put together.
What a great culinary experience. The outdoor terrace in the back is wonderfully little space and perfect for eating with friends. The menu was filled with delicious dishes such as crudo, shaved Brussels salad, seabass with fennel, tortellini and beef cheeks. Everything was super fresh and ready for perfection. Large handmade cocktails and beer and wine list also. This is a must in Phoenix.
I'd like to start by saying that everyone we were in contact with on this night was so kind warm. We made a reservation for a patio table in August but the temp was just right with the fan on. Our server was knowledgeable on drinks the food. The food came out in a timely manner I loved that every component was seasoned or had it's own flavor to contribute. Pictures of what we had are posted. The only gripe we had was a minimal desert menu (2 options I think? . We would def go back we would def recommend to friends

This past weekend my girlfriend and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary, and made reservations at Restaurant Progress. We are so happy that we did the experience was amazing. As we walked in we were quickly greeted by Anthony, who also was our server for the evening. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. He was able to answer all of our questions that we had about the menu, we had a lot, and guide us through our dinner. We started the dinner off with some cocktails. My girlfriend order the Mockingbird which is their non alcoholic option and I ordered the Espresso martini. Both were fantastic and delicious. For food, we ordered the Heirloom Tomatoes, Pacific Tuna Crudo, Mussels, Sourdough bread, Branzino, and finished with dessert. Everything was delicious and obviously made with passion. This place is definitely on our list to visit again when we are back in the Phoenix area.
Don’t do very many reviews but this place wow! We went for our engagement dinner! Service was exceptional from Aaron so passionate about the food and wine! The food was amazing especially the burrata wow! This place should be full. Thanks again to all the team!!Food: 5/5
My boyfriend and I visited Phoenix to celebrate our two-year anniversary and made a reservation at Restaurant Progress for dinner before heading to a concert. I'm so glad we did! This restaurant exceeds expectations with its outstanding service, exquisite food, and delightful drinks. Our server, Anthony, was incredibly friendly and attentive. He had an impressive knowledge of the entire menu and helped us choose an amazing meal. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink while my boyfriend opted for a cocktail, and it was fascinating to watch them craft the drinks. Both were absolutely delicious. The food was simply unforgettable, perfectly prepared in every way. It's clear that everyone here takes pride in their work, and it truly shows. I will definitely return the next time I’m in town and will highly recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you once again for the incredible experience!
Stopped by on a whim on a quick stopover in PHX and scored bar seats. The bartender was friendly, accommodating, and matched our style of preferred interaction quite well. We noticed he did that with others, too. Excellent cocktails and several inventive dishes. The curried carrots, in particular were an adventure for the palate.
New American dining at its best: an amazing meal and atmosphere. The tuna crudo and fritto misto were next level good. All of their dishes were well-thought and balanced- refined without overdoing it. Will be recommending to any/every foodie that goes to Phoenix.Shoutout to whoever insists on solely playing Khruangbin radio, too.

I know this will mostly fall on deaf ears but this place was so much better as the Montecito Bottle Shop instead of serving as the Restaurant Progress wine storage. It was fun to take a chance on a bottle that you’ve never heard of, but not now that they are mostly all in the $45-$150 range. It’s a shame that this place has morphed from a chic, neighborhood natural wine shop to an overpriced wine cellar for a restaurant next store.
Amazing food! Great vegan options. The server 's impressive knowledge of the menu added an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. A must-visit spot for any foodie!
Hands down the best place to buy wine in Greater Phoenix! My husband and I own a private chef business, so we buy a pretty decent amount of wine for our clients and ourselves. We travel all the way from the far Southeast Valley to shop at Montecito. Great prices, excellent and unique wines you can't find elsewhere, and an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff!
Wonderful gem. Amazing staff. Outstanding food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+
