Pok-u - Phoenix
Pok-u
Description
Nestled in the heart of the valley, this poke restaurant has garnered mixed reviews from its patrons. While many rave about its generous portions, fresh seafood, and vibrant atmosphere, others highlight significant issues with order accuracy, particularly with delivery services like DoorDash and Uber Eats. Despite the inconsistencies, some customers remain loyal, praising the friendly staff and delightful flavors. The restaurant's unique offerings, such as customizable bowls and special sauces, entice visitors. Overall, this eatery earns a reputation for standout poke that many find to be a worthy experience despite occasional hiccups in service.

I ordered food online through DoorDash, but when it arrived, it was completely wrong. There was no sauce and only two packets of spicy mayo, despite my request for extra sauce and three other types. The fish and rice were also incorrect, and the toppings were not what I ordered. This was my first time trying this restaurant, and unfortunately, I was unimpressed. It seems like they are lazy and don't care about customer satisfaction. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.
I am visiting from out of town and I cannot stop raving about this restaurant. I have made multiple return visits because it is just that good. The atmosphere is joyful, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the kool-aid is always flowing. This place has everything that anyone could ask for in a dining experience.
Ordered from here through Door Dash. And let me tell you, I'll never order from here again!!! Half of our order wasn't packed in the bag and the two bowls that were in the bag, one of them were made horribly incorrect. I don't understand how this place is in business. It boggles my mind how a restaurant can mess up a super easy order so badly.
I ordered from Grubhub and this is the largest poke bowl I have ever had! The "Dat Fire" bowl was absolutely delicious.
Been to Pok-U before, along with WTF Burgers, Maryln 's and Philly Affairs. They also have Gyrowrap and Wingit, all run by different family members. As noted in previous reviews, the burgers and cheesesteaks have been mostly good meals but the poke has always stood out as one of the best in the valley. I drive ride share and deliver packages, so I eat all over the valley. Pok-U always has fresh ingredients, quick and pleasant service, a wide variety of options, large portions and exceptional combinations. I am partial to ordering 'Dat Fire ', a combo of spicy tuna, spicy crab, salmon, edamame, cucumber, choice of rice, topped with eel sauce, spicy aioli and red pepper flakes.
