Panda Express has garnered mixed reviews, with patrons expressing dissatisfaction over order accuracy and long wait times. A recurring issue is food unavailability, particularly with popular items like orange chicken and whistling chicken. Customers report frustrating experiences with inattentive service, as well as managers who seem indifferent to complaints. Despite the woes, some loyal fans appreciate the food quality and have never faced health issues from their meals. Ultimately, while the menu offers tempting options, inconsistent service and a lack of responsiveness may deter repeat visits for many customers.

I ordered a half and half combination of rice and chow mein, but unfortunately, the rice was missing.

I had a similar experience at the Panda Express on Avondale and Van Buren; they also didn’t have it available and told me it would take 15 minutes to prepare. I decided against waiting. The staff explained that they don’t always have the ingredients because it’s not a popular item. My boyfriend pointed out that if that’s the case, then why is it still on the menu? At this point, it seems easier to just make it at home to avoid the disappointment.

I really enjoy Panda; I appreciate being able to order as much food as I want. I've never gotten sick from any of their locations, which is a big plus. While I’ve noticed that some employees at certain locations can seem annoyed, I totally get it—as a misanthrope myself, I understand why they might feel that way. That’s why I steer clear of customer service jobs. I can only imagine how often they have to deal with difficult customers.

This restaurant is simply awful! The rice is always burnt and tough. It makes me think they might be using old rice, as it's truly unappetizing and hard to eat. I almost chipped a tooth on it—this has happened more than once! This situation is totally unacceptable. I attempted to call the restaurant, but no one picked up. When I contacted corporate, I was put on hold and then abruptly disconnected.

This restaurant consistently has issues with their rice; it's either undercooked or overcooked. I've only had it prepared correctly on one occasion. Just so you know, Panda, I wouldn't have left a negative review if you had ever answered your phone.
