Great time at Nori as always! Service was great, food was good! The happy hour prices are amazing, definitely worth it! I usually go there for happy hour with the girls and it’s always a good time! View all feedback.
What Nikki N doesn't like about Nori Sushi Asian Dining:
Don’t go—under new ownership. It smells terrible inside! We tried to push through it and order a few things. We were told “the chefs get upset if you try to make modifications.” GTFOH, it’s 2023, simple gluten free isn’t that hard. Enjoyed the shrimp tempura bento box! Members in our party were also happy with their choices. Would definitely return whenever we are in the neighborhood again.
Don’t go—under new ownership. It smells terrible inside! We tried to push through it and order a few things. We were told “the chefs get upset if you try to make modifications.” GTFOH, it’s 2023, simple gluten free isn’t that hard. You could also afford to be pleasant on the phone when people call.If you’re gluten free or need any modifications to your food, don’t even try it. The one roll they could make gluten free would be an up charge, making one single roll of sushi $27. No wonder the place was empty. What a failure. Hope the next place that takes over is more accommodating. This isn’t a small town. We walked out for a better option. To note, our waitress was very apologetic and kind about a situation she no control over.
We just moved to the area and loved our visit to Nori! Fun ambiance, great drinks, and fresh sushi! We will definitely be returning!
Had a great experience here during happy hour! The food was good as is the environment of the restaurant. Strong managers keep the restaurant running well and Adam (manager on duty at the time) was personable with guests and available to help his staff, which is nice to observe. Josh, our waiter, was also attentive and sweet. We will definitely be going back!
Buyer beware! Don’t even consider splurging on the Sashimi Platter expecting “the best of the best”. Way overpriced and over hyped for the lowest quality (and not even fresh in some cases) fish on the menu. Anywhere else on the planet, an Omakase (chef’s choice) menu comes with the most premium quality fish selection available at a significant value (discount) vs. a do it yourself, al la cart scenario. After all, otherwise you could just order everything individually and keep it simple (no surprises). At Nori however, you get nothing but the lowest quality fish on the menu (i.e., no eel, no urchin, no sweet shrimp, no scallop, no salmon belly, no horse mackerel, no snow crab). Instead, you get the lowest grade sashimi “at cost” as the manager literally explained to me except “at cost” would actually have been LESS than the $100 charged for the platter! Keep your expectations low and you won’t be as disappointed. Better yet, go somewhere else.
