Personally, I think the lunch specials are good. Although I noticed that they recently cut portion sizes, you get soup, an entrée, spring roll, and rice for a good price. The staff is nice although one of the waitresses doesn't seem to be able to communicate in English, so be patient. New Hong Kong is a solid choice for lunch. View all feedback.
What Nunya Beezwax doesn't like about New Hong Kong:
I read all the great reviews and decided I couldn't resist. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. I got the shrimp in lobster sauce lunch meal that came with a soup, crab ragoon, fried rice, a soup, and a spring roll. The soup was the better part of the meal tasting heavy inbcelery and chicken broth. The rice was bland and missing the peas/carrots and egg, the shrimp in lobster sauce veggies tasted like the were previo... View all feedback.

I?m not from here. And when you find a Chinese restaurant that tastes similar, it is awesome! I loved the food. And I especially the crab puffs, they are dream!
The rice was bland and missing the peas/carrots and egg, the shrimp in lobster sauce veggies tasted like the were previously frozen, the crab ragoon was empty, the spring roll was bland and mushy inside, and the shrimp were not as large as I am used to seeing. They were empty when I arrived for my pickup order and the food was hot, but the taste was lacking. Definitely not worth almost $11 for a lunch special. Warning: I paid cash, but they do charge an additional fee for card payments.
This brings me back to my childhood, it?s perfect and exactly tastes as I remember. It?s been a very long time that I have tasted authentic Chinese (as I have always known it) Also very inviting staff and comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended, came in for the lunch special which was definitely perfect full portions and very little wait.
Decent food however I started coming here regularly only a few months ago because of how good their orange chicken was. Super crispy and flavorful but now it has changed to the same old orange chicken you can find anywhere else. Compare my recent photo with the other picture of orange chicken uploaded previously (with orange peel garnish on top). Please go back to this style of orange chicken!
