High and Rye, a restaurant with a mix of rave and rant reviews. Some diners praise the unique waffle biscuit eggs benedict and cheesy grits for brunch. Others complain about small portions, pre-cooked, cold food, and slow service. The atmosphere is considered excellent, with pool and music for after-dinner entertainment. However, some diners were disappointed after finding out their favorite menu item, bone marrow, was unavailable. Despite varying experiences, the fried chicken, beef brisket, and cheese curds received rave reviews from some. A mixed bag, but High and Rye still has potential to please.

I will be the first one to say I understand completely that it was bike week. And they were a bit busy but the management was horrible . Our waitress seemed to care about us more then the management did with two of our orders getting missed in the mix. Great food and our waitress was amazing!!! But the female manager came by and and said she was taking care of two of our things on the check, gave us a resident discount. We were nice and polite but not acceptable as the female manager said a few words and walked away. Didn’t even come by afterwards to apologize again. May try it once more when there is not bike week, but if the managers are the same way will not ever come back. First rule of a restaurant, service counts more than the food!! Great wait staff though!

It took minutes to put in our drink order. Our server was clearly busy but the manager decided to make sure we had a centerpiece instead of just simply take our drink order to help her out. Food was good, but service was slowwwww. I liked the ambiance and expected it to have a good crowd on a Saturday but it was literally DEAD.... not sure why?

We like High Rye and go there on Saturday night every couple of months. The food is unique and the atmosphere is excellent. Fun to shot pool or listen to music after dining. Here's the single reason why I have provided a middle-of- the- road rating. My favorite thing on the menu is the Bone Marrow. That item is a big attraction for me. Anyway, the last two times we went ... the Bone Marrow was on the menu BUT they didn't have it! Now we eat there at so my fav was not sold out...just on the menu but not available again. C'est la vie, Jim

So bad! Terrible (virtually unavailable) service; terrible tasting food - as in insensitive, and the temperature of the room was so warm that we sweat and wait. The restaurant was empty and it was clear why. Instead, go to the gas station for snacks, this place was the worst.

Great happy hour. The establishment of the restaurant is somewhat unpleasant, which leads to a difficult time for waiting staff. Bar food was pretty good. Liked the concept with the pool tables. There was a DJ who was a nice touch. We had teenagers with us so that the music could have been a bit younger as the vibe is more of a bar scene, but the crowd was older. Server was nice and friendly, but there should be some waiting stations to help wait waiters for water, etc. Bar drinks were often slow when waiting staff had to wait long to fill their drinks orders.
