Contribute FeedbackHigh and Rye, a restaurant with a mix of rave and rant reviews. Some diners praise the unique waffle biscuit eggs benedict and cheesy grits for brunch. Others complain about small portions, pre-cooked, cold food, and slow service. The atmosphere is considered excellent, with pool and music for after-dinner entertainment. However, some diners were disappointed after finding out their favorite menu item, bone marrow, was unavailable. Despite varying experiences, the fried chicken, beef brisket, and cheese curds received rave reviews from some. A mixed bag, but High and Rye still has potential to please.
Great happy hour. The establishment of the restaurant is somewhat unpleasant, which leads to a difficult time for waiting staff. Bar food was pretty good. Liked the concept with the pool tables. There was a DJ who was a nice touch. We had teenagers with us so that the music could have been a bit younger as the vibe is more of a bar scene, but the crowd was older. Server was nice and friendly, but there should be some waiting stations to help wait waiters for water, etc. Bar drinks were often slow when waiting staff had to wait long to fill their drinks orders.

We went to High and Rye on a quiet Easter Sunday for brunch. Wife and I both had the Waffle Biscuit Eggs Benedict. It was very good with a very tasty Waffle Biscuit adding nicely to the traditional Eggs Benedict. We also had a side of the Cheesey Grits. Was quite delicious.
So bad! Terrible (virtually non-existent) service; horrible tasting food -as in inedible, and the temperature of the space was so warm that we sat sweating and waiting. The restaurant was empty and it was clear why. Go to the gas station for snacks instead, this place was the worst.
Wonderfully kind staff and great food! They made a beautiful drink for my year old!
