Filiberto's - Phoenix
Filiberto's
Description
**Filiberto's: A Mixed Bag of Experiences**
Filiberto's presents a blend of enjoyments and concerns. While the restaurant is praised for its cleanliness, polite staff, and 24-hour service, some customers encountered serious issues. Reports of food poisoning from burritos raise questions about food safety and training standards. Although many enjoy the delicious offerings, like the highly recommended number 19 and carne asada fries, others lament long wait times and inattentive service. The ambiance is described as lacking energy when few patrons are present, but the convenient location and weekday specials are definite perks. Diners may want to approach with caution.

This restaurant is exceptionally clean and situated in a busy area, making it easily accessible. The staff is very polite, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. They are open 24 hours a day, which is fantastic, and the food is excellent. I highly recommend trying the number 19—it’s absolutely amazing! It features a huge burrito and an enchilada, served with beans and rice, and it's delicious. On weekdays, they offer a different special each day for just $1.99, which is a great deal. The atmosphere is also wonderful.
I don’t like how the staff at Filiberto’s seem to decide who to serve quickly and who to keep waiting. It’s disappointing to see customers treated that way. I’ve also noticed the place has become less busy lately, which I think reflects how others feel too. I hope they hire new employees soon. Despite being nearby, I’d rather go to a more distant location.
If you're considering dining here and feeling hungry, you might want to reconsider. The typical wait time for food exceeds 15 minutes, even during quieter times. The staff appears unconcerned about how long customers have to wait. If you're in search of faster service, I suggest looking elsewhere. In fact, my friend went to a gas station to get us drinks while we waited and came back before my order was even ready. This place is incredibly slow, so think twice before deciding to eat here.
It was around 11 PM, so this was one of the few places near the light rail that was open for takeout. I ordered my usual, carne asada fries. It only took about five minutes from placing my order to heading out. The cashier was friendly and thoughtfully packed the sour cream I requested on the side since I was on my scooter. The fries were fantastic! Thank you!
I got food poisoning from a burrito at Filiberto's! I've heard stories about their burritos making people sick, but I never thought it would happen to me until now. I felt terrible on Thanksgiving! It's crucial for them to regularly check food temperatures and quality, and to make sure that all employees have valid food handler cards and proper training.
