The online schedule indicated that they should be open on Sunday, but when I arrived, it was closed. I won't make the trip back after this disappointment.
I encountered two chefs who seemed oblivious to everything around them; they were just chatting with each other while I waited at the register. It felt like the only cashier was on break, and there was no one to take orders. After standing there for five minutes without any assistance, I ultimately had to leave. If they were closed or unable to help, they should have put up a sign or let me know to return later. Instead, they acted as if I wasn't even there. Now, I’ll never find out if the food is any good—what a disappointing experience after visiting Atlanta.
Food is not good, not WORTH the price. I'd rather eat at Super Oscars where the food is good tasty to the palate!! Cashier is not friendly. No sour cream or grilled onions for the burrito. At least have sour cream! Will not come back or recommend this place (Choon Authentic Mexican Burritos) Yeah Right!! Not the best place for burritos. Taco Trucks food taste way better!! IJS
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The place felt completely lifeless, with no enticing smells of cooked food. We were the only customers there, and they didn’t have any iced tea available. Everything on the menu seemed old and was served warmer than it should have been. Having enjoyed authentic Mexican food in southern Arizona my entire life, I can honestly say this was the worst meal I've ever had. I ordered three Barbacoa Tacos, but they were tough and resembled boiled beef, while the tortillas tasted raw and doughy. They didn’t offer rice, and the beans were the only decent part of my meal. There were no chips and salsa or any sides. I would have had a better dining experience at a chain like Filibertos or even at any food truck on the side of the road. It was truly disappointing and regrettable.
Waited 20 mins for 2 burritos and a taco. Aside from the salsa bar not being stocked and ready, I should have known by t he fact we were the only people there.... when we finally got out food home it was gross. The tacos were JUST tortilla and meat... meat tasted like fish. Burrito had no flavor or cheese. Only took a couple of bites. Felt bad for the local business so we didn't get our money back. Maybe they will read the bad reviews and change ???? lesson learned and will stick to Super Oscar's even if it's really busy... now that place is worth the wait.
At this restaurant, experiences vary significantly, leaving diners divided. While some find gems like the carne con chile and breakfast burritos—reportedly flavorful and enjoyable—others lament the overall quality. Critics describe the atmosphere as lifeless, with slow service and unwelcoming staff, while numerous dishes fail to impress, with tacos lacking flavor and burritos missing key ingredients. Common complaints include underwhelming sides and uncomfortable seating. Despite a few positive notes on specific items, many patrons leave contemplating their choices, often wishing they had opted for more established local favorites. This place has potential but surely needs improvements to elevate the dining experience.

Worst barbacoa burrito I have ever had. It was full of cooked down fat chunks. I never should have eaten it but it cost over 10 dollars ugh. Im writing this review because im feeling sick and have bad headache and I know its from that burrito.
The chicken mole is outstanding, and the freshly made tortillas are absolutely irresistible!
I walked into the restaurant and noticed there were two cooks present, but it seemed like nothing was being prepared; they were just chatting with each other while I stood at the register waiting to be served. It appeared that the only cashier was on their break or lunch, leaving no one available to take orders. After waiting for five minutes without any assistance, I decided to leave. If they were closed, they should have put up a sign or informed me to come back later when the cashier returned, but instead, it felt like I was completely overlooked. Now I'll never know if the food is any good; I just ended up going to ATL instead.
This restaurant was a huge disappointment. It didn’t smell like anything was being cooked, and we were the only customers there. They didn’t have any iced tea, and everything on display seemed old and sitting in warmers. Having eaten authentic Mexican food in southern Arizona all my life, I can honestly say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I ordered three Barbacoa tacos, and they were completely flavorless, like boiled beef, while the tortillas were undercooked and doughy. They didn’t offer rice, and the only remotely tasty item on my plate was the beans. There were no chips and salsa or any sides to speak of. You would honestly be better off eating at a chain restaurant like Filibertos or any food truck on the side of the road. This place is truly terrible and unacceptable.
Online the schedule shows they should be open on Sunday , and it’s closed. Won’t be driving this distance again to find it closed.

This place was awful. Didn't smell like anything was being cooked, we were the only ones there, there was no ice tea, everything was old and in warmers. I've been eating authentic Mexican food in southern Arizona for my entire life and I can honestly saythis is the worst I've ever had. I ordered 3 Barbacoa tacos, they were completely un seasoned like boiled beef and the tortillaswere raw and doughy, they don't offer rice, and the beans I had were the most flavorful thing on my plate. No chips and salsa orany other sides. You would sadly be better off eating at a chain like filibertos or literally any foodtruck on the side of theroad. Terrible and deplorable.
Went in and there were two cooks yet didn't really seen anything was being made they were just talking to one another and I was standing at the register waiting to be helped. It seems the only cashier was on break/lunch and there was no one else to takeorders. I had to walk out cause I wasn't going to be helped after standing there for 5 minutes. If they were closed they shouldhave put a sign up or told me to come back when the cashier was back but they just pretended I was invisible. Guess I'll neverknow if the food is good or not, just ended up going to ATL.

Took my 2 yr old and stopped in for a couple breakfast burritos because I've been wanting to try this place. Tried the Mexican Style and the Ham and Egg and was not disappointed. Both burritos were excellent and received high reviews from my son too.Tried some of the green chili and cilantro mix as well. I'm pretty picky on my cilantro, but I was very happy with the flavorfrom Choon. I will definitely go back and try more.

This burrito was absolutely fantastic. The horchata was quite sweet, so I probably wouldn't order it again. However, the tortillas were soft and delicious, and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned.
In my opinion, this place is the best in Arizona. You definitely need to stop by to grab some burritos!
The food is great, but unfortunately, my drinks were forgotten.
