So we picked this place from a list of places close by, not knowing that this was The Mel 's Diner I was born in the 70 's so kiss my grits was a household phrase. It was a treat to see the place where the show was recorded.The place was everything you 'd expect. Waitresses had personality. The food was good, I hope the place doesn 't change. I 'll be back. Great service! It's a good place to go to get away from the big chain diners and Starbucks. Nostalgic atmosphere and friendly staff.
What a great place! Certainly would recommend for a good breakfast and I Certainly will return.
Did not realize this is the real Mel's Diner where the TV show was filmed. Great food and great service. No extra charge for substitutions.
