Came here for lunch and tried the chicken tenders, greens, mac and cheese, and fried pickles. The chicken tenders were big and crispy, which I loved. The greens and mac and cheese were good as well. The food was pretty hot, but that just means it's done fresh. View all feedback.
What Karen Tilghman doesn't like about Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken Downtown Phoenix:
I went with some friends before we went to the theater. The chicken was not all that. They need to change their name from World Famous Fried Chicken. This chicken ain't so famous. The side dishes were awful. The mac and cheese was dry and also the collard greens were dry with no taste at all ?. How do you have dry collard greens?! I won't be back . View all feedback.

A BIG thanks to Aniah for OUSTSNDING Customer Service the kindness shown was over and beyond amazing anymore I don’t get this kind of service it’s far and between so the way she cares for her customers is amazing the kindness, patience, friendliness above all for everything I wish we cld have her as our server everywhere we went out to ENJOY the full service. You deserve the best because that’s the service you provided my family. ???
Great food! I get this for lunch at least every other week! Their pies are ?
Oh myyyyy, the chicken was Devine! Mac and cheese was good too. Service was was fantastic.
Had the Memphis Special of two thighs and two legs along with some baked beans, cole slaw and white bread. The chicken was crunchier than what I am used to, but it was very tasty, spicy just how I like it and the chicken meat was juicy. Beans and coleslaw were really tasty as well. I had some sweet tea which was the perfect cold drink for this meal. The service was my favorite part of the experience: the server was very polite and kind and she didn't allow me to run out of tea. My cup runneth over, indeed. Highly recommended for those craving fried chicken.
