Awesome experience, delicious food. We were spoiled by our waiter and my husband made into their porterhouse club, iykyk. We'll have to come back to see if his name is on the wall.
Dining at Durant’s in Phoenix, AZ, is like stepping into a time machine with its classic red leather booths and velvet wallpaper. The service is exceptional, always making you feel like a VIP. Their steaks are consistently mouthwatering, perfectly cooked every time, and the mashed potatoes are a creamy delight. Make sure to save room for dessert, as they offer an array of sweet treats that are the perfect end to a fantastic meal. A true gem for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!
We finally got around to dining at Durant's.You definitely need to make a reservation if you plan to eat there....we didn't know that was an option, so we were only one of two parties who were walk-ins.We waited for 50 mins. for a table which I guess could've been worse. You have to walk through the kitchen to get into the restaurant proper, which is definitely different....You feel like you're part of a political big wig entourage, or a mobster with connections (isn't that the same thing? ?..?....Anyway, the atmosphere is fine, the service is basically okay but nowhere outstanding.....and food quality is definitely overpriced for the prices charged. It was an adequate dining experience but not close to the top of my list.We might dine there again, and we'll definitely make a reservation if we do, but it's not high on our priority list to return. Parking: There are adequate parking spaces, but handicap is very limited so beware of that's an issue. Wheelchair accessibility: The place is very crowded with very limited space for the dining area...I don't think it's very wheelchair accessible
She brought us our drinks and bread, but we didn't see her again until it was time for the check. The cook ended up delivering our food, which was not correct. I ordered a 12 oz prime rib but received an 8 oz instead, and my friend ordered a medium ribeye that came out nearly well done. Normally, we would have mentioned the incorrect orders, but since the waitress didn’t return to check on us, we felt it was unnecessary. Since we have dined there many times without issue, we assumed it was a mistake on the waitress's part. When she finally brought the check, we had to remind her it was our friends' anniversary. Her response was a nonchalant "Oh?" and then she offered us a dessert. Overall, this experience was quite disappointing, and the service was subpar.
You haven't eaten out in PHX if you haven't been here. They made a movie about this place. The waiters and bartenders are dressed better than the average person in Phx. One enters from the kitchen and is usually smitten. The bar, tho is what I like, and can be entered from the street.
