5 Diner - Phoenix

Tammy Is the only reason why this restaurant has 3 stars instead of one because the other 2 times I've been to this restaurant. The customer service was lackluster and the fact that they cannot recommend anything on their own menu to someone who's never been to their restaurant before. And instead of helping their customer, they chose to get into an argument and make the customer walk out twice, that's why it has been until the third time. Which is now that I've decided to spend money because Tammy was the first person to Actually recommend something off their menu for me to try.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in all of Arizona! It is open 24 hours and everything is always good! The breakfast is phenomenal with the diner waffle being the most outstanding food that they offer for breakfast! I also love their dinner options with simple, well-made burgers as well as huge dinner platters of American staples like meat loaf and chicken fried steak! Finally, the desserts are to die for! The banana split and brownie with ice cream on top are my girlfriend and I 's favorites because they are delicious and big enough to share. The atmosphere is amazing! You get to listen to 50 's classics while sitting in comfortable booths and eating great food! The servers have always been wonderful! Happy to see us and always making sure that we are taken care of! One server, Tammy, even made a secret dessert! She was so wonderfully kind and I urge EVERYONE to order the strawberry shortcake Tammy Style if you are fortunate enough to have her as your server! So please, visit here for a wonderful slice of 50 's Americana and some great food!

We left without be waited on. Sat really quickly told I'll bring some waters then nothing. They then sat another group and started getting them their drinks. My son says something to the lady she said I'm only getting them their drinks and the waitress hasn't been by. I see the waitress delivery drinks to another table and doesn't come to our table just turns around and leaves the area. Obviously they don't need our business.

Nothing like a 5 Diner milkshake. Try them all will not disappoint.

Not sure how people dine here. There are scary looking drug addicts at this diner all the time. I am scared to even walk by. They are very aggressive. This business should try to keep it clean and protect customers.
