Woodsman - Philomath
Woodsman
Description
An unassuming Philomath Thai restaurant delivers authentic, flavorful dishes with generous portions and fair prices. Pad Thai, curries and mango sticky rice stand out; service is friendly and accommodating of allergies, and takeout is popular for gatherings. The spot offers on-tap craft beer and homemade ice cream, and its rustic logger decor adds charm—though the dining room could use a refresh and some diners note occasional seasoning inconsistencies. Overall, a local gem for bold, comforting Thai food worth the trip.

One of our favorite local spots! The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere could use some improvement, but we usually opt for takeout when hosting, and it works perfectly! You definitely have to try the Hoh Mok Salmon!!!
A hidden gem! I wasn't expecting this place to be a restaurant while passing through Philomath, but I'm so glad I decided to stop! We ordered the sampler platter and the Pad Thai, and both dishes were outstanding. There was more than enough food for two people!
Authentic Thai food that took us right back to our travels in Thailand. Great, attentive service. We appreciated that when we told them one of us had a shellfish allergy, they switched the order around. Servings are huge and prices are fair considering the excellent quality of food that you will be getting. We will be back for sure!
I genuinely want to enjoy their food! Unfortunately, I've noticed a decline in quality over the years. It used to be excellent. The green curry was overly salty, and the drunken noodles were bland and tasteless. Supporting local businesses is important, but unless the quality returns to what I remember from a few years ago, I probably won’t be dining there again.
The Mango Curry (spicy) was absolutely delicious! The blend of spices allowed me to savor the sweet and flavorful notes of the vegetables as well. The portion was large enough for two meals, making it a great value compared to other dishes. To top it off, the mango, sticky rice, and homemade ice cream were the perfect finish. This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Oregon!
