I see that others have reviewed Fillos and have had a different experience to the Gumbys so if we return perhaps we'll go totally Greek as it is the Greek food... read more I see that others have reviewed Fillos and have had a different experience to the Gumbys so if we return perhaps we'll go totally Greek as it is the Greek food which seems to get the most praise.Mr Gumby chose the veal and I can only say that it was tasteless. It needed a decent jus or sauce. Mrs Gumby had the soup and the salted cod. She liked the salted cod but was not so keen on the soup.The ambience was spoilt by the indifferent greeting we got on arrival but I have to say that the person who appeared to be the restaurant manager was very friendly and welcoming.Perhaps they had an off day. Would the Gumbys return? Maybe.

All meals came out on time... read more We had a family group of 15 go to Fillos Taverna and Bar at the Hellenic Club. The waiter that looked after our table was excellent. All meals came out on time and the food was very nice. I had the spaghettini marina and my wife had the lamb shoulder. Both meals were very nice. I would happily go back again.
