Tabbs - Feedback

What Alan Christie doesn't like about Tabbs:
The food was good but not 'special night out ' good. Looking at some of the previous reviews, the menu we had didn 't seem as exciting as others. The duck terrine was very nicely presented but not much taste of duck. The fish (hake and ray) was excellent but rather overwhelmed by the smoked paprika oil on the potatoes. In mid July (15th) four of us visiting from the US had four superb dinners at Tabbs! Unfamiliar with hake, I dared to order and am so glad I did because of the excellent preparation. I will probably not order it elsewhere for fear of dimming the wonderful memory of your chef's magic.
