I recently visited this restaurant for the third time and it continues to impress. My partner and I traveled from Washington DC to eat here, and we were not disappointed. The service was exceptional, making us feel right at home. From suggesting coat check to explaining the dishes, the staff took great care of us. Our server, Dilara, was fantastic. She expertly paced our meal and gave us great advice on saving room f... View all feedback.
What Julius Turner doesn't like about Zahav:
in this dialog box there is not enough text room to fully explain the terrible experience. the service is the main root of the problem. this was one of the worst experiences I ever had in my adult life while I could eat in a restaurant. View all feedback.
We love to come after zahav! our only complaining is the waiting time for a reservation, but it is good reason to eat this place in philly! my man and I were several times and have recently brought our parents to enjoy the experience. if they are looking for real Israeli cuisine, this is the place for them! eating is delicious, authentic and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and fresh. you will not be disappointed!
One of the best meals they have (possibly ever) hands down. it is worth eating alone, but the service is impeccable.
I'm not sure we were there on an off-service night, but from when we arrived when we left our experience was less than stellar. they come his pretty chaotic, table was not ready at the arrival for our reservation for us many others waiting before us. our server was the highlight of the night, she was great during our experience. one of the things we came for was the famous slowly boiled lamb shoulder. when we were asked about the tasting menu, we were told that they were outside for a reservation of 7:30, which is ridiculous if they can get bar seats without reservations, it can order beforehand. our experience went downhill from there. Drinks took out forever, our food came under boiled, over boiled cold when we saw the table next to us that took 15 minutes after us forever to get their ordering their food before we also ordered the tasting menu. our steak looked good when you came out after our look as if it was simply pulled off the grill. they are paid before us. the pusher who was responsible for reviewing the release of food 't do a good work. we saw tables around us get eating to totally random times with long wait, short wait no cadenz. eating was pretty forgot. we have an Israeli restorer in chicago that all their dishes were better, especially for the price. The hot hummus was the best part of the meal. Reservations are so hard to get the fact that they are not asked during their reservation if they were interested in their subscript court an acceptance that they can 't ask before the time but first come first serve. there are no information about which on their website. if they go for the court, they get a cash seat or make 5pm reservations. we are happy to travel all over the world, try all kinds of local foods, but for us a place with so much hype we would not recommend our friends on the basis of our entire experience.

Great food, but slow service. Your food will come before your drinks. There is an overall attitude problem here. The waitstaff should take it down a peg or two. The food is the star here, not you. No excuses.
