White Dog Cafe University City
Menu
The menu of White Dog Cafe University City from Philadelphia comprises about 175 different courses and drinks. On average you pay about $18.4 for a dish / drink.
The restaurant has a longstanding reputation, but some diners were disappointed by the loud environment and limited options on special occasions like Mother's Day. However, the Tofu-Ei sandwich received rave reviews, and one diner felt welcomed and at home with a custom cocktail and pork shank dish. The locally sourced food and drinks, including hummus and fried pickles, were well-received, though some found the menu limited and pricey. Overall, the establishment offers charming themed rooms, exceptional food like Kennett Square Mushroom Soup and unique burgers, and excellent service that keeps diners coming back for more.

What ScottP dislikes about White Dog Cafe University City:
We didn't have the stellar experience like we did last year. Getting wine ordered seemed harder than it should be. The beet salad was awesome, the peach cream puff was a big disappointment. I think the wait staff was newish. View all feedback.
If you happen to get a chance... ENDULGE!! Sit at the bar... ask for Eddie and have him make you a 34Sazerak... then have the pork shank with a glass of house red. It's a great spot that blends the student/professor vide of the surrounding college with a UK pub... Having spent 90% of my adult life overseas, much of it in Europe... I felt, welcomed, at home, and in place.... all the way down to the barely audible cheesy 80's funk, dance, chill music... that you somehow feel you know every word of.
The go to place. Food and service were great. Banging dishes were really noisy.
Went here for brunch. The decor was a bit strange and the food wasn’t really anything special. But it tasted alright. I don’t know if I’d come back since it didn’t seem like anything special. Just another run of the mill brunch spot. Service was good.
