Solid ramen spot. I tried the namesake Terakawa Ramen and Spicy Ramen. Nothing bad but nothing to write home about. Good casual ramen joint to grab a bite and hang out with friends. View all feedback.
What Dee Ngn doesn't like about Terakawa Ramen:
We came in and waited 15 minutes before any tables after us even arrive. As a server, what should have been done was ask the customers if they are ready in the order of first come first serve. Our table was asked after all the tables that came after us order, and yes, our table received the food last ignore the fact that we arrived first. Yummy ramen and udon.I love the service and the food is great!Food is amazing
Great food, service, and ambiance – I might say Terakawa is super authentic. The staffs were also friendly as we were waitlisted for only about 10 minutes. I got Chicken Shoyu ramen which was good as the broth was flavorful with a rich aroma. I and my friends also ordered some side dishes like seaweed salad, chicken kara-age (the chicken was cooked just right! Really love their homemade signature sauce), takoyaki, and others. Also, super cool interior!

Nonetheless, the food was 7/10 which helped with the rating at 2.
Arriving inside my friends and we were not greeted by any staff we had stood there for 10 mins or longer. We are from out of town and was really hoping to have some good ramen. We hadn't been greeted so we figured we had to order on the tablets to be seated. Also multiple groups of people who were not (black) had been greeted quickly and sat. Then we'd find out that, that was a to go order tablet with out any indication of it. We were told quite rudely by one of the workers. We had thought you ordered first then sit and she had told us it's 10 dollars to sit inside when in reality that wasn't true. She had told my friend once I had waited outside that she meant you had to spend a 10 minimum which I had done I paid 25 dollars in fact. We were blocking the doorway and didn't want people to run into us or vice versa. The situation to me escalated from there and the worker became quite rude once we asked if we'd just be able to sit and wait. And then a heated conversation back and fourth with my friend took place and then the women asked if she was scared of her and then said well I'm scared of you and she had stepped back. This was incredibly rude and not okay, so my friend asked for a refund. Because I'm no way shape or form was my friend intimidating her. And with that we left I wasn't able to get a refund due to the women saying it's already done so I took my ramen. That I personally felt had a dash of racism tossed into. So I tossed it into the nearest trash can I saw. Honestly this was my first time to Philadelphia and it sucks that at the first place I ate at I felt we were denied entry .
My first time trying ramen here and it was a great experience. The Miso Ramen broth has a nice taste and smell. Also ordered the Karaage Chicken as an appetizer. The chicken was cooked just right.Food: 5/5
