Smashburger - Philadelphia

This is a fantastic spot to relax with a beer, indulge in a double bacon cheeseburger, and enjoy some delicious smash fries. The fries are heavenly and perfectly seasoned. The drinks are served ice cold, and the service is outstanding! Shannon was especially amazing; she was incredibly attentive to everyone at the bar and in line.

I decided to give a smash burger a try. Overall, I liked it, but there were a few things that could be improved. First, there were two patties, which were well-cooked but definitely on the salty side. The melted cheese was delicious, but the lettuce was a bit soggy. The two pickles were quite small, and the two tomato slices were even smaller; they were also a bit undercooked. The French fries left something to be desired – they were soggy, though there were plenty of them. On a positive note, I have to commend the staff, who were very friendly and welcoming.

I had a disappointing experience with Smashburger. After I raised a concern about their company website, I received a response from their district manager, David Henderson. He apologized and mentioned that my experience was “far below Smashburger’s standard.” However, based on the reviews I've seen and how my complaint was handled, it seems that they do not uphold that standard. I would recommend avoiding Smashburger altogether, given their poor treatment of customers both at the restaurant and at the corporate level.

I just wanted to leave a review of Smashburger in Philly airport terminal A, because even though I had to have one of my burgers fixed, I still enjoyed my visit. The food was very delicious. It was super busy and there was only one cashier at the front. He was calm, patient, and kind amiss all the chaos. When I came to him about my burger not being correct, he personally went back and remade it for me. He was doing his best to take care of everyone and I was impressed with his professional manners even when it was at peak dinner rush. All the crew was doing well considering how busy it was. But I wanted to give a special shout out to Jason, thank you for the amazing service! I will eat here again next time I pass through here.
