Oh my goodness!!!!! We visited this restaurant after seeing a comment on Instagram claiming it was the BEST authentic pho spot in Philadelphia! My husband and I just had to see for ourselves. Let's just say we will definitely be dining here again on our next trip to Philly. The place was exceptionally clean, and the owners were incredibly attentive and friendly. What Benny V doesn't like about Pho Cali:
The pho broth was decent and had some flavor, although it wasn't the best I've ever had. The portion size of the bowl and the noodles were quite generous. The meats were acceptable, but the pork dish was just okay; it could really use some marinating or seasoning, as it leaned towards the bland side. View all feedback.
As authentic as it gets. I got pork chop and egg roll over vermicelli noodles. My mom is from Vietnam and a great cook and this food was 100% on spot. Pork has great lemongrass flavor. Egg rolls are crispy. The nuoc mam (fish sauce) was perfect. Friendly service. Also got iced vietnamese coffee which was nice and sweet as it should be.
This was the most amazing food i’ve ever had. I got there and they had such great hospitality. Not too many people but it was delicious! Got the deluxe combo with egg rolls and I devoured it. I gave then all the cash I had on me I am definitely coming back if possible!
Nice Viet Pho place near Chinatown, everything was just right.
Been there since the 1990s, it is good for Asians, can't speak for the Americantz!
I miss my pho Cali family so much. I ate here 4 times a week when I lived in Chinatown before moving out of Philly. But their pho broken rice dishes are delicious, consistent great every time. Family owned, kind people.
