Local 44 - Philadelphia

I ordered the West Philly Breakfast for brunch. The BBQ smoked tofu was disappointing, lacking flavor and texture. It seemed like they were inexperienced in cooking it. The uncut sausage and potato toast were also underwhelming. However, the mushroom scrapple was amazing, kind of like a quiche. I could have eaten 10 of those! If Local 44 is reading this, I would suggest changing the BBQ tofu and maybe trying a tofu egg scramble instead for more flavor. I would also replace the uncut sausage with fresh fruit to fit the breakfast theme better.

The Ruben is an excellent vegan choice at this restaurant. The food options are delicious and diverse. Our server was very friendly and provided great service, even on a busy Thursday evening.

This bar located near University City is nothing out of the ordinary. It's not the most comfortable, so you probably wouldn't want to spend a long time here. The selection of beers on tap is decent, but nothing to write home about. I would definitely consider coming back though. I particularly enjoyed the vegan Reuben sandwich, it satisfied my craving perfectly.

The food is great and hearty, you definitely get a lot of food for what you pay at the servers are really nice. I usually get the uncut burger with French fries and it’s delicious.

The rub is a great vegan option. you eat is great with a beautiful selection of options. our server was very friendly and also looked after us very well on a busy Thursday evening.
