Jasmine Rice Old City - Philadelphia

When my Fianceé and I entered we were suprised to find an empty restaurant. Not even a hostess in sight. We stood there for a bit before we decided it might make sense to loudly say hello (we tried doing this quietly but we were not heard lol) After that minor hiccup the service was fast and great! The food came out pretty quickly and we were out the door in 20 minutes. We ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Spring rolls. I enjoyed the food, especially the spring rolls! Very nice decor and presentation throughout the restaurant as well. Although I'm not sure I would return (I'm from NYC) I would recommend the restaurant.

This was an amazing experience. I can't say enough great things about Jasmine Rice in Old City. It was a beautiful space with elegant fixtures and an open, modern feel. The menu had a great variety of items. I had a hard time choosing between the options. The Pinot Noir was delicious. The shrimp spring rolls were exceptional. The pad see yew was the best that I've ever had. Chinese broccoli cooked perfectly, noodles that were tender, perfectly cooked, with a sauce that was light, balanced, and exquisite. It was not greasy or overly oily. This was a special meal that I will not forget. Overall, this was exceptional and totally worth it. I can't recommend this business enough.

My friends and I went here for dinner yesterday. I do not usually eat Thai food, but I was surprised how good food were! Especially calamari. I give only 4 stars for slow service. I think, they need to train their staff better or hire better servers. Again food is delicious and I will come back and would recommend.

Had a very nice, quiet dinner here recently. My wife had pad thai with beef and I had massaman curry with chicken. Both were excellent. The service was very good as well. My only criticism is that we sat at a very small table next to the entrance. It was a little intrusive, with other guests coming and going, but not totally bothersome. I do recommend this place and I'll return there to eat some day.
