I usually end up in this place after going out in center city. I’ve been maybe 3 times and the chicken and Mac and cheese is always on point. It’s pretty expensive… so I wouldn’t come here normally but it’s a solid option after a night out. View all feedback.

Awesome place to eat and relax! We had a family get together and the service and food was awesome! I would highly recommend this place
This new location is much better suited to the easy going Trini liming culture being fostered at Flambo. Right in the gayborhood, reservations on date night are probably recommended. Convenient parking on the street and an neighboring lot. There 's a small bar near the main door that has standard tropical drinks, top shelf liquor and Caribbean beers (Carib and Red Stripe). The main dining area has several high top and regular tables that accommodate two to eight easily. Warm, subtle decor hints at the tropics but the music that draws you in is 90% Trinidad and Tobago. The staff is attentive and willing to answer questions about the menu. Many of the dishes are made to order which distinguishes Flambo from the other Trinbagonian restaurants in the area. This takes a little time but the happy hour menu comes out faster. The happy hour is typical with half priced drinks and appetizers. The pholourie is very pale but the taste is there even with the one tamarind sauce. The pepper sauce is hot! The made to order rotis are silky, a good size and excellent for scooping up the curried meats and veggies. The Chinese food is flat out too salty. All of it. The fried rice, the chicken, the pork belly cutters. The other dishes are pretty good. Philadelphia needs a nice sit-down place for Trinbagonian foods. Flambo is that place.
Celebrated my birthday here and I was so happy Loveeeeeeeeeeeeed this experience ? The owner was so personable and the staff are very attentive. The j wings are authentic and drinks were delicious. I’m from Washington DC and never had any Caribbean experience like this before ? I ordered the Oxtail and red beans and rice plus the roti. This dinner was amazing , very tender and flavorful with all the right ingredients. I would recommend coming here 10/10 for sure!!!!!!!!!Quick service and lit fresh drinks can’t go wrong here trust me. Plus they have brunch on Sunday’s it’s the whole package here ? I can’t wait to come back
I REALLY enjoyed my visit to Flambo! The staff was really kind and knowledgeable. I appreciate the background they gave on Trinidadian food and it's many influences. Everything was SO flavorful! I'm talking deep, rich and dynamic spices. We had the Chinese Chicken and the Chow Mein. The presentation was beautiful. We finished with a carrot cake that blew us away. I'm already eyeing dishes I want to try on my next visit!
