This place has the charm of an old-fashioned taproom. The beer is excellent and reasonably priced. The service was fantastic. I didn't try any food, but the prices for that also seem very appealing. Overall, I would rate the service 5/5. View all feedback.
What Emily Reedy doesn't like about Cherry Street Tavern:
The woman behind the bar was extremely rude to my friends and me. She essentially called us stupid and laughed at us when we tried to order drinks that weren't beer. This is likely the worst bar in the entire city, and I wouldn't recommend anyone come here for any reason. I ended up crying myself to sleep over the experience. View all feedback.
Great beer, great food. Comfortable atmosphere. Friendly staff.
This is the best bar/sandwich spot in the greater philadelphia area.
During our layover at Philadelphia International Airport, my wife and I took the train downtown in search of a local pub for lunch, and we found a gem! This restaurant is fantastic. We enjoyed the roast beef and roast pork sandwiches, along with some long hots. They also offer a great selection of beers on tap and in bottles. If we ever find ourselves in Philadelphia again, we will definitely come back here.
A watering hole. Dive-y, unpretentious local vibes. No one bothers you. Quality bartenders. V good sammies. Probably shouldn’t talk about how good, bc I don’t want the vibe to change. Too late. I said. Internet is forever.
This bar has a fantastic atmosphere and a rich history. The food is good, featuring simple dishes made right by the bar. You can't go wrong with a visit here; it's definitely worth checking out. Additionally, they offer a non-alcoholic beer option for those who prefer not to drink!
