On the occasion of a wedding anniversary, we discovered this restaurant full of refinement, located 10km from Castres on the road of Albi, reported by a red sign qques hundreds of meters before its entry on the left. The old stone frame is magnificent, a grass mill on the river at the entrance of the park, then a garden on which the dining room opens. The entrances were made of verrines, small toasts and grilled seafood cassolettes, a delight for taste buds at the time of the aperitif! It followed a plate garnished with a tasty beef piece accompanied by a dauphinois gratin and a fine vegetable mousse. Cream cabbages and exquisite cakes came to close this meal with a red wine of character. Merit the detour through this little piece of tart country.
The restaurant is a bit excited and not necessarily easy to find if you don't know. Fortunately it's indicated just before it happens. The frame is very pleasant and relaxing even if, sometimes, you hear the cars that pass the road next to it. The staff is helpful and friendly. The midi formula is 15€ for an entry, a dish and a dessert. For our visit: In-entrance, a fresh and hearty spring roll. Original and well done. In the dish, a beef skewer with a raspberry sauce, accompanied by stirred apples, mushrooms and a purée. Delicious! The raspberry sauce was soft and brought a real plus to the dish. The meat was perfectly cooked and tasty. I just wish I had a little more hearty dish. Very few mushrooms and purée while these were excellent! For dessert, a fruit soup with a mango sorbet to finish the meal on a touch of freshness. Very good sorbet that perfectly closes a pleasant moment. To summarize. A pleasant and tasty meal, in an original and relaxing setting. A little far from Castres but the restaurant is worth the trip.
It is a restaurant, chic and Zen in the countryside, the terraces overlook a park or garden. the dishes are succulent, elaborated based on fresh products, served with attention and kindness. The lunch formula is perfect to eat fast and well without ruining!!! Between Réalmont and Castres a sure step.
