It is well worth the scenic drive to visit Petty Harbour and Chafe's Landing. In May, it was still busy enough, but we got in easily and sat upstairs great atmosphere! The seafood chowder was amazing as was their Mexican soup. We decided to try their moose (the moose charcuterie and pulled moose melt were both amazing. We had high hopes of getting back for a second meal but time did not allow. Highly recommend! View all feedback.
What Ramblin Ken doesn't like about Chafe's Landing:
We picked up friends at the airport and drove straight to Cape Spear and then to Petty Harbour to eat at Chafe's Landing. There was no parking available so we had to find a spot elsewhere and then walk back to the restaurant. It was a Monday and the restaurant was full (although there was no live entertainment). The service was atrociously slow and our waiter seemed to have even forgotten that we had placed our food... View all feedback.
Went to Chafes Landing for dinner with family visiting from away. Have been many times , always 5 star until yesterday, started with warm beer, fish was ok, fries and cod tongues were disgusting Very disappointed
It took quite some time to get our food but it was worth it. Value for money wasn’t too bad. Overall I would definitely recommend eating here.
Really good basic food. We had a party of 4 and tried a few different meals and all were excellent with some local recommendations beers. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The place is nice but unfortunately we were not able to order what we wanted. A few items on the menu were not available. Brussel sprouts, cod tongues, maple syrup and something else was over on that evening when we were dining there.
This place was a recommendation for after Cape Spear. Not the easiest to find, but that's likely just me! Petty Harbour is quaint, small and has no traffic lights least not that I saw any signs either). This place is a little upscale on price. However they have pulled Moose! I mean, when do you get a chance at a Pulled Moose Melt? Fish and chips Cod, of course) were also grand.
