Our server Stacey was excellent and the food was incredible. I ordered the special ham and turkey dish, which was too much to finish. My wife had the curried chicken with half rice and chips, which was also too much to eat. Considering the prices in Ireland, this meal was not expensive at all. View all feedback.

Here for evening meal. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. The food and menu however is the issue. Haven't eaten here in ages and the menu has changed. Not a great choice compared to similar bars/hotels in Donegal. I had the burger. It was really sloppy. I ate it because I was hungry but it was not good. Sloppy melted cheese and too much bacon. The side salad was laced in dressing and a bit limp. Did... View all feedback.
The Upper Deck is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme...just what one would expect from the name. The food was FANTASTIC and the presentation SUPERB! Our server, Michelle H. took special pains to meet our every need...all with a smile. We will be back, again,
Enjoyed a great meal in The Upper Deck Bar on Friday night. Arrived at 7pm with 2 young children and received great friendly service. As the bar was quite busy with people dining, we expected service to be a little slow and with children this can be a challenge in itself, but luckily the staff were well prepared for children and quickly brought out some coloring books and crayons to keep the kids entertained. Again, the kids food came out first which was great, beautifully served. When our food was served, we both commented on the presentation and gorgeous smell coming from the plates. Believe me, the food tasted as good as it looked. As a local, this is exactly whats needed in town, somewhere welcoming and serving great tasting and priced food. Well done to all the staff, keep up the good work.
Did not feel great after the meal. Coffee just ok. The chairs are a bit of a mish mash and the restaurant looks like tables from different parts all just landed in the one place. Could do with a face lift. So disappointed as the last time I was here it was excellent.
To start with the positives, the ingredients at this restaurant were fresh. However, our experience as a group of four vegetarians was disappointing. The kids ordered Tortellini with spinach and cream, my wife ordered a green curry (checking first that it wasn't too spicy), and I ordered the vegetable fajitas with different side orders. The first issue arose when we were informed after half an hour that there wasn't enough Tortellini. We then decided to order noodles with vegetables and eggs, but when the dish finally arrived, it contained chicken instead of eggs, so we had to send it back. The curry, despite being described as mild by the waitress, was extremely spicy, to the point where even I couldn't eat it. Additionally, the rice with the curry was not fried as requested but was simply cooked. On top of all this, our side dishes were missing, and I discovered a strange and unappetizing substance in my meal that completely ruined my appetite. Despite wanting to complain, we were left without any staff checking on us, so we ended up leaving our meal halfway through and walking out.
We visited the Upper Deck Bar on a Monday and were immediately impressed by the warmth and cleanliness of the place. The menu had a great selection without being overwhelming. Rochine greeted us with a smile and seated us next to the fire. The house red wine was enjoyable, although a bit pricey. I tried the chowder and a delicious homemade burger. The food and service were excellent, and even as locals, we were impressed by the service, atmosphere, and quality of the food at a reasonable price.
