We also tried the Texas Twinkies—jalapeños stuffed with brisket and cream cheese, wrapped in bacon. They were decent; there were three large jalapeños on the plate, but they didn’t seem to be cooked or smoked enough, and there was very little brisket inside, priced at $14. The atmosphere was nice; it was a quaint little shop with seating, clean bathrooms, and large tables suitable for any group. The service was excellent, with a very friendly staff member. Unfortunately, pizza wasn't available due to staffing issues, but that’s understandable. Overall, it’s kid-friendly and has good wheelchair accessibility, with plenty of parking and ramp access.
This place is OUTSTANDING!! We've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here several times. Everything I've eaten has been an absolute delight!! I will tell everyone about the country fried steak and eggs breakfast until the day I die!! There is no better breakfast in Northern Michigan right now!! Every time friends come to visit we bring him here. No one ever leaves unhappy. The service is fantastic. Even when we bring a table of 10 or 15 they are very responsive and very friendly. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and it's all wonderful. You're missing out if you don't eat here. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of options for kids. The same excellent quality as their adult food. The prices are reasonable. Parking: Tons of spcee Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking right up front and a ramp that takes you right up to the front door.
Have never had a bad meal here. Love the burnt ends. Pizzas from the stone oven are great. Been here twice, had the brisket entree and each time they was about 30% fat in the brisket, that I ended up leaving on the plate. I think a lot of the flavor gets lost when the fat soaks in all the seasoning. I think it would be much better trimmed before smoking. Otherwise the test of the did was good. The Rusty Saw is a great local restaurant. I was there for breakfast and asked for brisket as my meat with eggs. They accommodated me and it was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
