Description

Nestled along the lakefront, this charming coffee shop offers a mixed bag of experiences. While some patrons rave about the exceptional lattes, cortados, and a selection of delightful pastries, others express disappointment over inconsistent coffee quality and limited baked goods. Notably, flavors like the raspberry croissant stand out, while drinks like matcha have drawn criticism. Despite some critiques of temperature and presentation, the welcoming atmosphere and amiable baristas create a pleasant vibe. Overall, this cozy café is worth a visit for its inviting ambiance and potential for fantastic coffee and pastries, even if experiences vary.

We made a special trip on our way home from Traverse City and were glad we did. In an early, cloudy morning this cozy place was already very popular. Clean, simple, modern design the typical white tiles and bright wood furniture in a charming lifestyle side street just a few blocks from the lake. They brew Madcaps Third Coast Blend for espresso. Our latte and espresso were excellent, and the pour over very bright and good. One of the better surpluses we had in a while. The service was excellent, only surpassed by the pastries of a nice selection, we went with the morning bunk and butter cake (what is not to love? . Yes, it was a little but for the quality of products and services, definitely worth it. Hopefully enough caffeine to keep us ahead for the 10 hours drive!

Nearly perfect! You can tell that a great deal of care, attention and love have gone into this coffeehouse and bakery. Everything is top notch, from the pastries to the egg dishes to the coffee. I really enjoyed the spiced mocha I had. So much so that we waited to leave the next morning just so we could stop in again. Pro tip: if you are there when they close you may be able to score a free pastry from anything left over. They bake them fresh daily!

Attention Australians and coffee enthusiasts! This is the spot for authentic barista-made coffee. Both the long black and mocha were flawlessly crafted. At every other coffee shop I visited in Michigan, I found myself having to translate my order to achieve that Australian-style coffee. But this place truly understands what real coffee is all about!

The latte was absolutely delicious, as was the regular coffee. I believe the beans were Colombian or Guatemalan that day. The ambiance is quite charming as well.

Charming little coffee shop by the lakefront. The baristas were incredibly friendly and eager to take everyone's orders. The atmosphere was pleasant and peaceful!
