Bayside delights with masterfully prepared breakfast and lunch—creative twists on classics, huge pancakes, crispy hash browns, generous omelettes and burritos—served quickly by friendly, attentive staff in a clean, harbor-side setting. Popular and efficient despite a small dining room and occasional waits, the menu balances freshness and value with satisfying lunch options. Note: limited table configurations and small patio tables can complicate seating for larger parties and families with young children.
There was a waiting line both times we went there and they did a great job at moving things along quickly. Great food, especially their hash. Would definitely go back again.
Great food. We had pancakes with strawberries, roast beef hash, Greek eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce. Everything was excellent. Friendly and attentive staff.
Food was okay -good. Coffee was great! It was pricey. It was super noisy and very busy. Our party of three, became two, after an hour wait.. we got her order to go. The server ordered, with our food, placed it into a to go box, because take-out orders were backed up by two hours and she didn't want us to wait any longer. Smart and efficient. However, it is summertime, the tourist and snowbirds, are clogging up, Up North. I am happy for the retailers, but it is sad for the locals. While waiting, I had an opportunity to observe other foods and they looked delicious ?.With that in mind, I'd like to return, when the season changes and the tourists, return home.Parking: There is limited parking.
Bayside has very good food! Some wonderful breakfast items, featuring unique twists on classics. Lunch offerings are burgers and sandwiches and salads, all made with fresh ingredients and masterfully prepared. So why the low rating? When we entered, therestaurant only had a few customers. It's not a huge place, but those who were there were in the booths along one side. In themiddle were several square tables seating four. Along the other side of the room were a couple of round high top tables. Wecame in with four adults and two children, a five year old and an almost two year old. We asked to have the square tables puttogether. We were told they couldn't do that. We could either divide up or they could put the two round high tops together. Wehad driven a long way to visit with these people, and did not want to divide up. But a high top table for kids especially onestill using a booster was just silly. We were never given a reason why the square tables could not be put together. There wereno customers sitting in the center area, and actually pushing two tables together would have made more room for serving aroundthe tables. The five year old ended up slipping off the high stool and falling. No injury, but it was totally unnecessary sincewe could have been seated together at the lower tables pushed together. Would I go back? Probably. But next time I'll be alittle more Karen about the whole thing and leave if they can't accommodate a party of six with two kids.
Went here for breakfast before the yacht show in Bay Harbor. Good service, nice helping sizes. Prices were probably a little below the average for what you get which is nice! Especially for it being by Bay Harbor! Omelettes are big, but not enoughcheese and a little overdone IMO. Location isn't great if you aren't from the southside of petoskey. But overall good experienceand the waitress we had was super great! I would like to come back and try lunch sometime.
