Shafiq's Taste Of India - Peterborough

The quality of the food has sadly gone downhill these past couple of years. Used to be our favorite

It used to be my favourite. We hadn't gone in a year so we were excited to take family for dinner. What a disaster. The paneer was returned uneaten, the chai tea was pure sugar, the peas paleo was uneaten as it was over spiced, the chicken dish was just a few hunks of meat on a ton of rice, the portions were much smaller than times before, they no longer have a liquor license so we couldn't order drinks. Not one of us enjoyed the food. So dissapointed in an old favourite. Now I know why we were the only ones there.

Ordered “butter chicken” and it was literally 3 small pieces of chicken in basically a watery soup. They charged me $25 for that and it made me really sick the next day. Unacceptable and never again. Would strongly advise against this place

Absolutely incredible experience at Shafiq's Taste of India! From the moment we walked in, the chef made us feel so welcomed and was so friendly throughout the night. The ambiance was perfect for our date and it ended up being the best date ever! But the real star of the show was the food every single dish was absolutely amazing. The flavors were out of this world and we were blown away by the quality of the cuisine. 5 stars all around for Shafiq's Taste of India, we can't wait to come back!

We have enjoyed the food here for the last 10 years or so, but unfortunately, this has gone down the pan. The food is good as ever, however, the portions are @1/3 of the size they used to be, but the prices are still the same, to add an extra annoyance, they no longer serve beer :
