I go to the Park st location every time I am in Peterborough. Excellent, fresh sushi rolls and great service. It is also cheaper than the east city location. Lunch special bento boxes are all amazing and priced right. All Korean dishes authentic including BiBimBap, stews and ribs. Highly recommended for everyone, even those who don’t like sushi. What Roxanne Morissette doesn't like about Matsu Sushi:
Matsu used to be the best place in Peterborough to get al la carte Sushi before the all-you-can-eat ones came on the scene. Based on that, I thought we'd stop in for some takeout and I wanted to try some genuine Korean Ramen. I knew something was amis when my soup arrived and it was a convenience product. Literally mr. Nice authentic ambiance reminiscent of family restaurants in Japan. The Nabe options are a delicious choice on cold winter nights.
I hadn't visited Matsu Sushi in East City for a few years. Unfortunately the prices have really gone up. The server was very nice but I miss the man who used to greet us so enthusiastically. The maki rolls that we had were good and so was the Katsu chicken. I have no complaints about the food, just the prices.
Hello, how are you?? That's the friendly welcome you receive when entering this great place. And of course the sushi and especially the sashimi is amazing. The friendly family who owns this is very welcoming and accommodating.
Have been coming here for years. Great food, friendly atmosphere and good prices. My favourite place to go for sushi!
Too expensive for too little food. Plus, the quality doesn't differ from AYCE sushi places. We left, still hungry, but shocked with the total bill. Communication with the waitress was a challenge, too.
