Loon Ho Restaurant - Peterborough

Every once in a while I get in the mood for a low-priced, not-too-good Chinese Buffet. And for only 8.99, the Loon Ho meets that criteria beautifully. We enjoyed it so much we went again a week later, in fact. We really shouldn't have........but this stuff is addictive. I don't know what they put in their fried chicken, but it's hard to stop eating it. Best dish: probably the Szechuan Beef. But they really should find another hot and sour soup recipe.

I've tried a few other places but this is the best. Reasonable price and the service is as expected. Love the buffet!!

For over 30 years, my family has considered this the place we go when we want to have a Chinese food feast, for birthdays and for celebrations. We know their food and have our favourites. Service is just what you'd expect in a buffet setting. The various owners came to know our huge family and always accommodate our need for a big table. We especially enjoy the fried chicken wings. We also appreciate the value of the Special Dinner for four and it is our base order when we do take out and we just add additional dishes to suit our likes.

I used to go here often but have not been in a long time. Was looking forward to the lemon chicken that they used to always have on the buffet. They did not have the lemon chicken. There were too many items such as onion rings, potatoes, and what I believe were sausages or hot dogs. The buffet is not very large so having so much non-traditional items was disappointing. The Chinese food that was available was fair but not great.

Staff is awesome, we have been eating her for years. Loyal customers. Affordable, would recommend you will enjoy.
